私が以前タンブラーでブログを公開したとき、あるアメリカ人が「お前は共産主義者か？」と書いてきた。もちろん私は共産主義者ではない。普通の市民だ。このバカ男は、「USAの栄光は高々２５年に過ぎず、その過去の栄光にアメリカ人がすがりつき、MAGA(Make America great again)
と叫んでいる」と私が書いたことに、憤慨したのだろう。自分の理解を超えるものにレッテルを貼って排除するのは、「赤狩り」にも見られるアメリカ人の特徴だ。
D.トランプは、ステーキ、ポテトチップス、コカコーラをこよなく愛し、いかにも短命に終わりそうな乱れた食生活をしているが、このようなライフスタイルも一般的でありふれたアメリカ人のものであろう。
そして自分の偏狭な了見でもって世界を推し測り、一気に田舎者丸出しで世界を破壊する。確かに性格の異常なD.トランプは、その異常さを取り去ってもやはりありふれたアメリカ人である。今やその夜郎自大さで、就任１か月足らずで世界を破壊する勢いである。子ブッシュのときもそうだったが田舎者USAは世界最強である。D.トランプのガザ地区に対する２月４日の宣言にはさすがに驚いた。世界を破壊するのは、アメリカ人である。
PS 英語では、田舎者のことを「redneck」と呼ぶようである。日焼けした肉体労働者というイメージか。

When I published my blog on tamblr. some time ago, an American wrote to me, "Are you a communist?" Of course, I am not a communist. I am just an ordinary citizen. This idiot must have been outraged by my writing that "The glory of the USA is only 25 years at most, and Americans cling to its past glory and shout MAGA (Make America Great Again)." Labeling and excluding things beyond one's understanding is a characteristic of Americans, as seen in the "Red Scare."
D. Trump loves steak, potato chips, and Coca-Cola and has a disordered diet that seems likely to end in a short life, but this lifestyle is also typical of ordinary Americans.
He measures the world with his narrow-minded perspective and destroys it in one go, showing off his redneck. D. Trump indeed has an abnormal personality, but even if you remove that abnormality, he is still an ordinary American. With arrogance, he is on the verge of destroying the world less than a month after taking office. As was the case with Bush(jr), the redneck USA is the strongest in the world. I was surprised by D. Trump's declaration on the Gaza Strip on February 4th. It is the Americans who will destroy the world.
PS In English, country folk are called "rednecks." I guess that gives the image of a tanned manual laborer.
